Angie brings a rare depth of courage, compassion, leadership, and lived experience to The Backyard Peace Project community. With a distinguished background in the military as a fighter pilot, Angie understands pressure, resilience, discipline, and the unseen emotional toll that can come from carrying responsibility in high-stakes environments. Her life journey has been one of both extraordinary achievement and profound personal transformation.
Driven by a deep desire to serve humanity at a soul level, Angie is now undertaking a full-time Master of Divinity through George Fox University and Portland Seminary, specialising in Ministerial, Pastoral, and Chaplaincy services. Her mission is centred around supporting those who have been left behind, overlooked, or made to feel disconnected from their inherent worth, dignity, and value, including individuals experiencing homelessness, addiction, crisis, trauma, imprisonment, or emotional isolation.
Angie’s approach is deeply human, heart-led, and grounded in compassion, authenticity, and hope. She speaks openly about the importance of healing the “younger self,” reclaiming voice and purpose, and creating a life that feels meaningful, connected, and aligned. Her ability to combine strength with gentleness allows her to hold space for others in a way that is both deeply safe and profoundly empowering.
As a Peer Coach within The Backyard Peace Project, Angie brings wisdom forged through lived experience, service, adversity, leadership, and faith. She is passionate about helping others rediscover peace, purpose, belonging, and the belief that they are worthy of love, support, healing, and a life worth living.
